Main Responsibilities:

• Own the technical roadmap of the selected IoT devices.

• Translate customer requirements into functional specifications of the selected technical building blocks.

• Define the design based on the functional specification in cooperation with optical/image engineer, mechanical engineer, electronic engineer, thermal engineer, process engineer and safety engineer.

• Apply design principles for cost, performance, manufacturability (parts making and assembly), heat management, packing, compliance with internal and external standards - if applicable.

• Design and adapt fast-prototype for verification of concept and/or build up demonstration

• Scout for new material, component, technology, supplier for better quality, competitive cost and new meaningful feature.

• Bring out-side-in view of key technical building blocks for the selected IoT devices.

• Generate innovative ideas/IPs together with other colleagues to help Signify build up strong position in Smart Home business.

Key Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in technical engineering, preferably more than 5 years of practical experience in the selected IoT device development.

• The candidate has a strong expertise in either electronics or optical/image or mechanical engineering background with knowledge of system properties, and has demonstrated a great drive for getting things done, on-time.

• The candidate should be familiar with the key building blocks + suppliers of the key components used in the selected IoT devices.

• The candidate should have the strong initiative to map the technical roadmap of the key building blocks and components for the selected IoT devices.

• Good command of the English language in both speaking and writing is a plus.

• Sense of urgency and high resilience level.

• Strong execution and ability of driving for result.

• Ability to work under stress and ambiguity.
